Good interiors feel composed, not over-designed.
At Domivelle, we look at a room as a relationship between proportion, comfort, material and light. Each element should have presence, but no single piece should overwhelm the whole.
We are drawn to warm modern spaces where furniture has a clear purpose, natural textures create depth and decorative details bring character without adding visual noise.

Proportion
Furniture should relate naturally to the room around it, creating visual balance rather than filling every available space.
Material
Wood, upholstery, ceramics, metal and soft textiles add depth when their tones and textures are allowed to complement one another.
Function
Beauty matters, but furniture earns its place through everyday usefulness, comfort and a clear relationship to how the room is lived in.
Restraint
A calmer interior often comes from editing carefully, giving meaningful pieces more room instead of adding more for the sake of more.
Furniture in context
We think in rooms, not isolated objects.
A table changes with the chairs around it. A sofa changes with lighting, rugs, side tables and the distance between each element. We consider furniture as part of a wider composition.
Leave enough visual space around major furniture pieces so their shape can be read clearly.
Build depth through a restrained mix of wood, fabric, glass, metal and ceramic surfaces.
Repeat tones and textures subtly rather than matching every object exactly.
Let lighting, textiles and smaller décor soften the structure created by larger furniture.
Contrast creates interest.

Quiet balance
Calm does not mean empty.
Warm modern interiors can be layered and expressive while still feeling composed. The difference is intention. Instead of filling a room with competing focal points, we prefer a clear hierarchy.
